As I noted a couple days back, I’m trying to focus on some fun things every now and again. The last one gave you a great little rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. Today’s item comes courtesy of Kris Rusch, in that I had seen the headline in one of my twitter feeds, but probably wouldn’t have checked it out if she hadn’t sent it my way. Since it’s a recent trend, perhaps you’ve seen it. Or, perhaps, if you’re like me, you saw it but didn’t dig in. So here’s your chance to fix that.
Among the many reasons this caught me in my happy place is that it is exactly what social media should be for. It’s what I remember thinking about back in the old days when such global communications were first being settled out and my friends and co-workers would shoot the breeze imagining all the fun things you could do with it—people simply having fun together in ways that were never possible until this technology came about.
Except, of course, I don’t know that I saw it happening exactly like this.
So, what is it? Well, what follows is a bit of a rambling twitter thread that I’ll summarize as a match-making scavenger hunt undertaken by a guy sitting on a couch and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Mystery, mayhem, and maybe a baseball or two ensues.
I’d say more, but well, I think that would ruin the charm.
So, enjoy.
