As noted here, I’m commenting daily on the WMG Holiday Spectacular—which is a great project that releases a story every day. These might be reviews. Or not. They might be interesting. Or … um … not. They will be fun, though. For me, at least. Here’s the next story. |
“The Pooping Knight’s Playbook”
Robert Jeschonek
With the words “Pooping Knight” in the title and “Robert Jeschonek” in the byline, you can bet my mind was beyond blown to see this piece…um…drop into my inbox. I almost didn’t want to read it, because I was already laughing so hard. Butt, um, of course I did. The lengths I’ll go to for you folks is incredible, isn’t it?
I’m a real Baby J, I am.
The problem I have now, as is the same problem I have with so much of Jeschonek’s fiction (especially his short fiction). There is really no way to “review” it properly. So I’ll just say that it’s brilliant in the way so many of the stories that come from Planet Bob are brilliant. Just read it, all right? If you’re not subscribed, go subscribe. It will be worth it. Totally worth it.
When you are done, assuming you’re a well-balanced sane person like me (ha!) and loved this piece on every level it’s possible to love a piece, you will want to go immediately to his website and grab a copy of In the Empire of Underpants and Other Stories.. From that point, you’re on your own, dude. Planet Bob deserves to be explored as a chose your own adventure.
Highly Recommended.
