Day 19
I’ve said it before. The upside of being an indie writer/publisher is that you get to control everything. The downside is that you have to do everything.
Yesterday was going to be a biggish day, but then I got deeply into working on a cover and product description for my “On Writing” book, and since I was actually interested in pursuing it, I let myself run. That’s another thing about being Indie—you should probably be prepared to have lots of irons in the fire at all times, and if you’re like me that means that whenever you can, you learn to give your brain what it wants (most of the time, anyway).
TLDR, I pretty much punted words yesterday—only getting a touch over 300 later that night so I could keep my string alive.
Day 20
I wasn’t wrong, though. I was in a place where I knew I’d get a decent flow going once I did really get going. Finished at something over 2,500 new words (best of the Dare), and just short of another 1,000 “recycle/rewrite words.
I could go on, but (you know where this is going, right?) I’ve got work to do on another pet project of mine—which maybe I’ll talk more about here tomorrow.
Assuming, of course, I get it done!
