Like all Fiction River anthologies, this volume is full of stories that come from an eclectic variety of perspectives. My own effort is a bit of a divergence for me in that it’s told using a makeshift screenplay/prose format that just seemed to work for the piece and the characters. The story is YA enough to fit in to this collection (the editor, Rebecca Moestra, was clear in her intent to appeal to young readers), but it’s not really YA. I guess you’ll have to read it if you want to see what I mean.
Bottom line: It was fun to write, and I’m particularly proud of it.
I’m also pleased with this anthology because it’s another of a growing pile that feature Brigid, as well as a number of my other fave writers. Here’s the Table of Contents:
